New options can extend the frequency range of SMF100A upward to 43.5 GHz and downward from 1 GHz to 100 kHz. These new capabilities are particularly attractive for the aerospace and defense sector as well as manufacturers of microwave modules and components who demand a highly precise, flexible signal source covering a wide frequency range. The SMF100A microwave signal generator offers an output power of up to 26 dBm (at 20 GHz). It is thus an ideal signal source for mixer measurements. This unit even replaces local oscillators of high-level mixers without requiring an additional amplifier, which simplifies the test setup and reduces costs.
